Inside track on Secure Payments & ID

We strive to keep ahead of fraudsters with the most advanced tech and best practices.

At Castles, we strive to keep ahead of fraudsters with the most advanced tech and best practice so that customer data stays secure and transactions compliant.

So we were delighted to participate in Secure Payments & ID Congress in Madrid during September. Celebrating its 8th year, the 2022 event provided a powerful industry focus on what it takes to safeguard transactions as channels, payments types and applications expand.

An exclusive one-day exhibition and conference with controlled access, it brought together 500 of the industry’s top professionals from a wide mix of job functions – digital security, IT, computing, finance, business development and marketing – reflecting transaction security as an issue of strategic commercial importance.

Raising the security bar

Among the many themes covered during the Congress were voice biometrics, 2 factor-authentication, voice passwords, and omnichannel identification. There was also much emphasis on emerging projects, new technologies, regulations and players. Visitors were happy to see that our android devices are biometric compliant.

This makes Secure Payments & ID important not just for retailers but for private companies and public entities seeking solutions to guarantee their sales touchpoints, including Telco, health, transport and public sector.

Our conversations with attendees, confirms it is doing much to strengthen relationships in the expanding retail and payments security ecosystem.

From nexo to what’s next

With fraud among the top immediate concerns of many European retailers, events like this help to champion new ways to minimise risk and tighten safeguards even further.

It was great to see a big focus on nexo standards, with a keynote session on how it’s shaping the future of European standards delivered by Santiago Cabeza Business Development Manager at nexo Standards.

Castles partners like Adyen were also well represented with Juan José Llorente, country manager of Adyen Spain, sharing his insight on the security challenges inherent in personalization and loyalty.

Overall there was huge interest in Android, Smart POS as well as new forms of secure and easy to use payment methods.

United action

Fraud is on the rise, so there has never been a better time for the industry to show unity and work together to reduce vulnerabilities – not just online but also in bricks and mortar environments. At Castles, we are proud to be part of this fight, working with customers and partners to minimize risk and ensure safe ways to accept payments.
